You were Dilbert's creator, his dear, thoughtful dad, and as such, a man who knew every-day ways, in particular when it came to office settings. In this respect, you understood the plight of those do something that many now choose to evade--work!
Sure, you were a funny fellow, which made Dilbert's misadventures funny, with their identifiable, Peanuts influences and Milquetoast perspectives. However, you also spoke your mind, expressing socio-political views that sometimes offended, but then, so many do tend to be offended by, well, just about everything these days, where taken-out-of-context claims are part of the propagandized norm.
Nevertheless, Mr. Adams, your wry charm became a pretty powerful antidote for nine-to-five strife, and if we, the diligent and downtrodden, continue to be maligned, Dilbert will remain our oasis, offering comfort any time we receive far less than we deserve.
