*PPFSZT! #52: GREEK MYTHOLOGY ISSUE BACK ON TRACK

An unforeseen matter has delayed several Main Enterprises titles, but lo and behold, *PPFSZT! #52 has, indeed, resumed its formatting phase.

*PPFSZT! #52 will be an all-out, Greek mythology issue. My story, "Medusa Reinvented," will be part of the contents, adorned by fabulous artwork from Keith Newsome. The above, Clash of the Titans-influenced shot is one of his four, flavorful renderings.

I've also had the pleasure of seeing several panels of Verl Bond's Jason and the Argonauts, comic adventure. The imagery is beyond breathtaking!

In my estimation, *PPFSZT! #52 will please every god on Mount Olympus and every mortal wise enough to possess it!

MAIN ENTERPRISES' *PPFSZT! #49: ENTERTAINING EMPATHY & MORE

Main Enterprises has just released *PPFSZT! #49 (Summer '22), and with it comes a sprightly, if not cynical spread of timely and eclectic ingredients, for which Troy Boyle's empathetic cover speaks volumes.

Inside one will find Jim Main/Verl Bond's gritty Hitchens (Episode 2), where the eponymous bounty hunter greets Sheriff Keeler for his fee, but soon grants readers a hardy view into the events that shaped him.

In addition, readers are treated to Will Murray's atmospheric Day of the Dead fable, "Blood of the Butterflies"; a warm and welcoming "The Publisher Speaks"; "The UFO Checklist"; and ample and contagious "Comic Book Remembrances".

All of this is bracketed and underscored by stylish artwork from the aforementioned Boyle and Bond, along with profound, pop-culture creations (of DC, Marvel and beyond) by Alan Groening; Brad Foster; Kel Crum; Roland Austin; Scott McClung; Anthony C. Gray; Doc Boucher; Kevin Duncan; Marc Haines; Tom Ahern; and Russ Maheras. Yep, another all-star cast, but would anyone expect anything less from Main Enterprises?

*PPFSZT! #49 is an invigorating product, so latch on asap to commune with its cool, creative offerings.

A preorder special is currently available for this swell issue, which can be purchased for $6.50 (including postage, for U.S. mailing only). A nifty pdf will be emailed to you and then later the hard copy. To get the collectible combo, send check/money order to Jim Main; 130 Wellsville Av; Back of House; New Milford CT 06776. Mr. Main also accepts Paypal funds through jmain44@aol.com. Remember to include your mailing address in any case.

NEW ECLECTIC GOODS FROM *PPFSZT!

Main Enterprises' *PPFSZT! #48 (Fall '21) delivers new, eclectic goods, with astonishing contents that cover a variety of cool subjects, ushered by Jay Mooers' explosive (and gaseous--ha, ha) cover.

Inside one will find the hard-hitting "Before the Rain, Part 2", by Tony Lorenz and Jim Main; the Old West extravaganza, "Hitchens: Too Easy Money" by Verl Holt Bond and Main; the gumshoe-ish "Cat & Wolf, Detectives" by Larry Johnson and Main; the  instructional "How to Deal with a Microsoft Scammer" by Simon Mackie; the inspirational "Muse" by Mark Lerer and Jennifer Clark; and the startling but euphoric "Sur-Prise, Indeed" by Steve Keeter and Tony Lorenz.

In addition, there's superb, supplemental contributions by Tom Doyle, Rick McCollum and Brad Foster (along with Main's welcoming editorial and the always trusty "U.F.O. Checklist"), making this *PPFSZT! another all-around, fantastic feast for the senses.

Interested? Send a check or money order of $6.75 (for within-the-U.S. mailing only) to Jim Main; 130 Wellsville Ave; Back of House; New Milford, CT 06776.

*PPFSZT!: THE WEIRD WONDERS OF POE (AND BEYOND) AWAIT IN #45

Edgar Allan Poe's weird wonders await in Main Enterprises' *PPFSZT! #45 (Spring '19), along with other devilish delights, including the haunting, Mike Ammerman/Rick Williams, cowpoke Ghost Rider cover above and the menacing Scott McClung "Mole People" insert below...

Without question, the illustrated contributions are beyond plentiful in this 36-page, powerhouse edition (featuring fearsome "Gallery" nods to "The Raven"; "The Tell-Tale Heart"; "The Black Cat"; "The Facts in the Case of M. Valdemar"; "Ligeia"; "The Murders in the Rue Morgue"; "The Pit and the Pendulum"; "The Premature Burial"..."The Fall of the House of Usher"), all brought to lurid life by Tom Doyle; Jamie Chase; Anthony C. Gray; Roland Austin; Jack Bertram; Kevin Dale Duncan; Sam Gafford; Carl Taylor; Troy Boyle; John Lambert; Rick Williams; and Steve Shipley, who supplies a lovely, "looking back in fear" cover gal.

Their excellent entries are joined by Rob Imes' adaptation of "The Cask of Amontillado": a vim, visual spin on the acrimonious classic. (Troy Boyle's "Gallery" depiction gives the fierce retelling added, eerie enhancement.)

In addition, folks can feast upon Mike Maloney's initial installment for "In Service of Amon-Ra", a novella which flaunts fabulous illustrations by John Lambert. The story is built to please connoisseurs of musty, mystical myths: a spine-tingling, eternal adventure that'll leave readers yearning for more.

To further the ghoulish glee, there's Bob Powell's captivating, comic-book yarn, "The Museum", which combines the macabre mood of "Mystery of the Wax Museum"/"House of Wax" with pure, Poe-ish peril: pitch-perfect for this issue.

Main Enterprises never fails to deliver the cream of the crop in thematic and eclectic compilations. This particular labor of love is satisfying on all levels and extra-special since it's built by amiable aficionados like you and me.

Purchase a hard copy of *PPFSZT! #45 by sending $7.00 via Paypal to jmain44@aol.com; for a PDF, the sum is $1. Either Paypal option is good until 2/23/19.

This is a fun-filled, thriller-chiller issue that every imagi-fan must possess.

GET READY! GET SET! MAIN ENTERPRISES' *PPFSZT! #44 BRINGS WINTER FUN!!!

The latest issue of Jim Main's *PPFSZT! is here!!!

Though Kevin Duncan's splendid cover for #44 conveys a seasonal chill, there's nothing but creative warmth brewing from this 36-page, Winter installment, which includes tributes to "Frankenstein Meets the Wolfman", "Werewolf of London", "The Thing from Another World (with Fantastic Four's Ben Grimm), "Doctor Who", "The Witchfinder General/Conqueror Worm"...and for all you Bogie fans, "The Treasure of Sierra Madre". There's also Mike Maloney's moody "One Night in Noir" and Part 2 of Roger C. Keel's haunting "Prisoners of the Ice Kings".

Along with Keel and Maloney, the contents' slew of accompanying artists is also impressive: Roland Austin, Jack Bertram, Lance Doc Boucher, Troy David Boyle, Jason Bullock, Tom Doyle, Kevin Dale Duncan, Don Fortier, Anthony C. Gray, Rusty Gilligan, Marc Haines, John Lambert, Scott McClung, Robert J. Sodaro, Carl Taylor...Rick Williams. Yeah, takes one's breath away.
