GOODBYE, JAMES SIKKING

Many knew you best for your television work, in particular your ongoing roles on Hill Street Blues, Doogie Howser, M.D. and Brooklyn South, but your career goes way back and beyond those noted series.

For instance, you're quite evident in Point Blank 1967, but then there's Capricorn One; Star Trek III: The Search for Spock; Outland; The Terminal Man; Morons from Outer Space; The Pelican Brief; The Star Chamber; A Woman Called Moses; In Pursuit of Honor; Submerged; The Closer; Soul Man; Up the Creek; The Feather and Father Gang; Ollie Hoopnoodle's Haven of Bliss; American Primitive; Just an American; The President's Plane is Missing; Around the World in 80 Days 1989; Ordinary People; The Electric Horseman; The Competition; Doing Time on Maple Street; and many more.

Your contributions project grit, girth and when the occasion has warranted it, humor; and for that, your fans were steadfast and loyal.

Thank you for having given so much, Mr. Sikking, and know this: The fruits of your labor will only grow more appreciated. Quality work, as with a quality life, only sweetens over time.
