You started as a kid with Timely, which ultimately became Marvel, injecting your own artistic, patriotic panache into Simon and Kirby's Captain America, but there were other heroes you chiseled, as well.
There was Cap's faithful pal, Bucky Barnes; the (original) Human Torch; Sub-Mariner; Jet Dixon; Jap Buster Johnson; the Patriot; the Destroyer, Vampire Brats; Robin Kane; and the Young Allies.
Your illustrative style was bold and blazing, which matched your ebullient personality. Fans loved you, and you loved 'em back, fortifying your importance in their lives.
