I've been wanting a Retro-a-go-go!, Bela Lugosi Dracula, Masterpiece ornament for quite some time. Thanks to my wife, Donna, I received one as a marvelous, pre-Halloween surprise.
Sculpted by the masterful Doug P'gosh, this "Silver Screen/black-and-white," half-body collectible captures Lugosi's likeness, in particular his thirsty expression, with caped arms (simulating bat wings) raised for a seductive, if not lethal strike.
The piece stands at 4.25" (tall) x 6.3" (wide), when attached to its stylish ("Lugosi is Dracula," silver-trimmed, name-plated) base. Inserted magnets keep the parts together.
For the record, there's a color version of the same piece, which it's now hard to find. However, while supplies last, this dandy, black-and-white edition is available straight from Retro-a-go-go!.
The piece would make a fine addition to anyone's Lugosi/Dracula/Universal Monsters collection, so I do recommend moving on this special-edition release before it, too, goes spectral.
