THE PERSONA #3: SILVER SKIN PROGRESSING WITH ARTIST, AIDEN BELCHER

Per Airship 27 publisher, Ron Fortier, progression on my novel, The Persona, Vol 3: "Silver Skin," is moving along with Aiden Belcher supplying the illustrations. All but two illustrations are now completed. (BTW: Below are examples of Aiden's work for Jade Rockwood's The World of Albumtasia, and below that is a neo Green Hornet/Kato panel for an online comic that he created with his famous dad, Mike. Pretty impressive, eh?)

"Silver Skin" is more of a science-fiction submission than a mystical one for my character, Michael Mansford. In this instance, an alien world infiltrates Earth through the Amazon rain forest, as orchestrated by an insane, silver-skinned entity named Sentinel Sifer. 

I'll share more on the book's progression as I receive such. For now, hang tight. More details are on the way.

LATE NIGHT WITH THE DEVIL, HOSTED BY AUTHOR, MICHAEL F. HOUSEL

Join author Michael F. Housel for a spooky, free-of-charge evening of chills at the Nightmare Inn (aka Home Base Cinema) on Franklin St., in Trenton, NJ, at 6:30 pm, October 7. 

For this special event, Housel will host Cameron and Colin Cairnes' acclaimed fright-fest, Late Night with the Devil, which commences at 7:30, projected on an illustrious 7' screen. (If you haven't seen Late Night with the Devil, you're in for a macabre treat; and if you've seen it, you know full well that it's worth another view.) 

A Q & A with Housel will be conducted prior to the movie. After the feature, the author will sign copies of his books and periodicals (again F.O.C.), which visitors are encouraged to bring. (A select number of titles will be available for purchase in the front alcove, at standard, cover prices.)

This historic teaming of the enigmatic Housel and Late Night with the Devil is certain to conjure a horde of pre-Halloween spirits. Visit if you dare!

SUMMER READING: THE DEAD SHERIFF & THE BLACK STONE

It's summer time, when the need to read rides high on those long, warm days at the beach or within one's favorite, air-conditioned seclusion. It's also time for me to honor my publishers by promoting titles that I've penned.

Mark Justice's the Dead Sheriff, Vol 4: Purity, which continues the (mis)adventures of Sam, O'Malley and their puppeteered corpse, the Dead Sheriff, this time pitted against the evil Princetonian, Palmer Perdifious. 

In addition to my participation in Mark Justice's sardonic lore, I'm part of Eighth Tower (Records) Publishing's massive, Lovecraft-tribute anthology, the Black Stone: Stories for Lovecraftian Summonings. My story, "Tentacled", is featured among the twenty-seven enclosed tales, brought to H.P. connoisseurs by some of the most demented writers on the dark-fiction scene. 

"Tentacled" details the anxious struggle of police officer Kelton Wyndham, who claims to hold a symbiotic relationship with a weird, petulant thing from another dimension.
