REMIND'S LEAVE IT TO BEAVER COLLECTOR'S EDITION

ReMind has compiled an endearing tribute to one of the most identifiable, coming-of-age sagas ever produced: Joe Connelly and Bob Mosher's Leave It To Beaver

The 32-page, collector's edition covers the sitcom's early, "sleeper" status to its later, full-range impact on popular culture, which even includes an interview with Theodore "the Beaver" Cleaver himself, Jerry Mathers.

Tony Dow, Hugh Beaumont, Barbara Billingsley are also featured throughout the issue, though just between you and me, I sure would have liked some substantial coverage on Ken Osmond, Frank Bank, Richard Deacon, Stephen Talbot, Rusty Stevens, Stanley Fafara, Burt Mustin and others who were (by and large) omitted or downplayed, but even so, the behind-the-scenes highlights are invaluable, graced by swell photos (including Mathers' TV Guide covers), trivia and puzzles related to this tasty slice of Americana.

Leave It To Beaver means a lot to me, for it touches upon that special period when I and my brother saw the world from a different lens, and our parents taught us to adapt a moral view, even as mishaps and snags complicated yet uplifted the learning experience.

For those who see Leave To Beaver as a reflection of their lives, ReMind's Leave It To Beaver Collector's Edition is a splendid way to revisit not only a genuine, television gem, but one's invaluable, formative years.
