INVADERS FROM MARS & THIS ISLAND EARTH: AN OUT-OF-THIS-WORLD DOUBLE FEATURE

Get ready for a 1950s, free-of-charge, double feature of classic, cinematic science fiction, when author Michael F. Housel presents the original Invaders From Mars with This Island Earth on a stunning, 7' screen, at Home Base Cinema, 1300 Franklin St., in Trenton, NJ, at 6:00 pm, January 8.

William Cameron Menzies' 1953 Invaders will be projected from the Ignite Blu-ray, remastered release, with Joseph Newman/Jack Arnold's 1954 This Island Earth springing from Kino Lorber's crisp, Blu-ray release. Both look stunning in a large format, based on test runs, and the productions complement each other with their bulbous-headed specimens and vibrant cinematography.

Housel will offer tidbits before the start of each movie. Popcorn, pretzels, hot dogs and soft drinks will be served at no cost.

Copies of Housel's books and periodicals will be on hand for those who wish to purchase them (at face-value cost), but feel free to bring your own copies along, and Housel will be pleased to sign.

Contact Donna at bizarrechats@gmail.com to confirm attendance, no latter than January 6, noon, in that seating for this out-of-this-world event is limited.
