MONDO CREEPY WITH LILITH VON BLOODWORTH: THUNDER OF GIGANTIC SERPENT

The lovely ghost with the most, Lilith Von Bloodworth, re-enters our dimension from her haunted, video store to host the latest Mondo Creepy, and it is (drumroll, please) ... Thunder of Gigantic Serpent! 

For those who dig the likes of Reptilicus and Gamera the Brave, 1988's Thunder of Gigantic Serpent should more than hit the spot, in that its titular creature is an elongated thing of relentless destruction, inadvertently created by a little girl who's exposed her adorable, pet snake to a displaced, government formula.  

The movie was directed by ninja-flick champ, Godfrey Ho, who inserts a good chunk of footage from 1984's King of Snake. He also adds a generous heap of espionage to the surreal shenanigans (courtesy of martial artist Pierre Kirby), giving it a nifty, Bondian slant.  

As with previous, Mondo Creepy episodes, Ms. Bloodworth is an absolute, ethereal delight, offering comedic, critical insight to the feature, further enhanced by lurid commercials and trailers.

LILITH VON BLOODWORTH RETURNS: WARRIORS OF THE WASTELAND ON MONDO CREEPY

  

The ultimate, curvaceous specter, Lilith Von Bloodworth (Jennifer Laura Welsh), returns to haunt a spankin' new Mondo Creepy!

The latest episode (conjured from her familiar, VHS hub) is Italy's Warriors of the Wasteland, aka The New Barbarians, a Road Warrior-meets-Escape from New York-meets-Death Race 2000-meets-Megaforce jaunt.   

This 1983 neo-spaghetti western is, in fact, directed by Enzo G. Castellari, who gave us The Bronx Warriors and Escape from the Bronx and occurs in the far-off year, 2019, where nuclear devastation has left few survivors in its wake. Those who wish to revive Earth face a violent, white-armored sect called The Templars. Fortunately, a Templar defector, The Scorpion, played by the suave Giancarlo Prete (aka Timothy Brent), is there to intervene and inspire. (The high-fueled action is also graced by gutsy, supporting appearances by football great, Fred Williamson and horror/western star, George Eastman.) 

To supplement the movie's mayhem, Ms. Bloodworth's wit has never been so super-keen, adding great, comely punch to the fable's fearsome dystopia.

Mondo Creepy's popularity, as guided by the ethereal Lady Lilith, keeps growing. This latest episode is but another cultist case in point. No doubt more engrossing episodes are on the way. Heck, fans demand it!

Her otherworldly attributes have never been more fetching, as she beams such movies as Night of the Living Dead '68, Cathy's Curse and Mystics in Bali from her cozy video chamber. 

Her biting humor makes it all work, and her ethereal beauty is impossible for any mere terrestrial to pull away from, thus making the Mondo Creepy submissions veritable feasts for the exploitative senses.

LILITH VON BLOODWORTH: MONDO CREEPY'S SHAPELY SPECTER

There's a new horror hostess on the scene: Lilith Von Bloodworth (aka Jennifer Laura Welsh). She's ghostly, busty and sports a fetching, British accent, welcoming viewers into a cozy chamber lined with vintage films: an abandoned video store, no less.

The enchanting Ms. Bloodworth also exudes wondrous wit and wry humility, which make her an ideal, next-generation Vampira; Elvira, Mistress of the Dark; and Stella, Daughter of Desire.

Bloodworth's premiere episode includes nifty, exploitation clips (one featuring fellow horror host, Mister Lobo) and George A. Romero's "Night of the Living Dead" as the main feature: the latter a perfect springboard for her jocular admiration. 

I hope she puts her sexy spin on "House on Haunted Hill", "Carnival of Souls", "Dementia 13" and "The Brain That Wouldn't Die". I've got my fingers crossed that she (along with writer/director/co-producer Matt Maisto) might over time, though no matter what she presents, it's sure to delight, if only for her immense, spectral charms.
