EIGHTH TOWER'S STALKER: STORIES INSPIRED BY ANDREJ TARKOWSKIJI'S MOVIE

A new Dark Fiction curation has manifested through Raffaele Pezzella and Eighth Tower Publications: a wonderful, companion piece to the company's Stalker-inspired album.

Stalker: Stories Inspired by Andrej Tarkowskij's Movie includes submissions by B. E. Dantalion, Andrew Coulthard, Chris McAuley, J. Edwin Buja, Glynn Owen Barrass, Michael F. Housel, Nora B. Peevy and Sarah Walker, with an intro by Pezzella, illustrations and editing by John D. Chadwick and cover layout by Matteo Mariano.

Stalker, Tarkowskij's abstract, 1979 movie, is based on the science-fiction novel, Roadside Picnic, by Arkady and Boris Strugaskij. Both sources depict an alternate-reality, Soviet landscape, but despite the treacherous terrain, there's a tempting claim that offers hope, if one is so inclined to take the perilous journey.

Stalker: Stories Inspired by ... presents varied views on what lies beyond the mythology's minacious regions, birthing a new set of interpretive impressions that admirers of the source materials will find captivating and fulfilling.
