Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's portrayal of DC/WB's Black Adam has taken the nation (and the world) by heroic storm. It certainly left a strong impression on me, and to commemorate its impact, I purchased a posable 12", sound-effects, light-up, power-punch action figure at my nearby Walmart.
If one squeezes Black Adams' legs, he swivels, and if one continues the procedure, the ancient god will throw effective punch after punch.
Black Adam's chest-bolt even lights up (via a mere tap), and one can attach plastic, electrical "spurts" to his right hand, whereupon the translucent accessories beam enchanting amber (while emitting stirring hums), all through the wonderment of concealed, battery-propulsion.
To make this swell representation all the more remarkable, Black Adam can be triggered to state (in simulated Johnson tonality) the following phrases: "I am unstoppable"; "Black Adam is here to save the day", "Energy is flowing" and (ha ha) "Shazam!"
The piece is, above all, well sculpted, capturing Johnson's monumental muscularity and distinct, determined scowl. (In other words, the Power Punch Black Adam will look great on any shelf.)
