And when it came to spirited, anthology adventure, your Heavy Metal contribution held no equal; in fact, its contagious splendor has risen to even greater heights over the years.
However, it was in the spiritual realm that you really shined, with the original Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II, while lending great influence to their haunted follow-ups, in particular Ghostbusters: Afterlife, which your son, Jason, so deftly directed.
May your journey into the glorious afterlife be as prolific and joyful as the movies you gave us, Mr. Reitman. We, meanwhile, will continue to enjoy the grand quality of your work here on Earth, as will inevitable generations of fans to follow.
