HOUSEL DOES BRUNDAGE FOR PULP FAN #4

Several weeks ago, publisher Jim Main asked if I'd be interested in writing an article on Margaret Brundage for Pulp Fan #4. I accepted. Brundage is way too important an artist to bypass, and I was honored for the chance to pay her my fanboy accolades.

As pulp aficionados know, Brundage's pastel-brushed visions graced many Weird Tales covers in the 30s and 40s. Included among those fabulous renderings were tributes to Robert E. Howard's Conan the Cimmerian and his scantily clad companions. Not too shabby.

I hope my article does this great lady justice. She deserves that much and more.
