R.I.P. DON COLLIER...

You made your mark as a cowboy, and for good reason. You were damn good at it.

As a Sam Butler on The High Chaparral, you became the stuff of legend, bolstered by your recurring roles on Outlaws ('60) and The Young Riders. (You also visited Gunsmoke, Bonanza and Legend, among other fine programs.)

On the big screen, you were just as bold, with roles in El Dorado, The War Wagon, Tombstone and The Undefeated, not to mention your stint with the historical miniseries, Winds of War and War and Remembrance.

You shared your virility in a way that many men refuse to do these days, making your work an inspiration for those of who yet do.
