FILMFAX #164: A FIVE OUNCE TON OF INTELLIGENT FUN

Filmfax #164 is here and delivers a nifty, double-cover novelty, with the front presenting the horror-star, team-up classic, The Black Sleep, and on the back, some nostalgic, (Classics IllustratedTime Machine imagery.

Inside there's further reminiscing from the marvelous Mara (Tarantula/Black Scorpion/Giant Claw/Girls on the Loose) Corday (hurray!), in the second part of a revealing interview; an overview of mad, movie scientists and their ravishing damsels in distress; the influence of German expressionism on Orson Welles; and a jolly chat with Britain's hula-hoop queen/super-groupie, Jozy Pollock, who evaded the despicable Manson Family, thanks to a fortunate migraine.

As further treats, Cold War chills, sci-fi comics, spacemen, rockets, robots and ray guns are allocated. Cool!

Buy Filmfax #164 today and come away A-okay!

  1. Thank you, Michael, for another great review. Not to be critical, but a few typos in there, which I'm sure future readers here will say "What typos?" :)

  2. Thank you! I'm one of these guys with a lot of irons in the fire. Will send you a FB friend request. I posted an homage/promo for a film that Jozy is in, Canaan Land, yesterday. Everybody seems to like it so far.
