Main Enterprises' *PPFSZT! #52 is progressing with heaps of Greek mythology, as publisher Jim Main and graphic-designer Bob Sodaro begin mapping its pages.
My contribution is entitled, "Medusa Reinvented." Mr. Main assigned artist Keith Newsome to complete four illustrations for the story. At this point, I can't share the entire quartet, in fear of spoiling the impact, but here's at least one image to stir interest: a flashback rendering of the mighty Perseus confronting Ketos ("The Kraken"), as he hoists Medusa's accursed head.
Newsome's image reminds me of an ornate, wood carving. And trust me, the three other illustrations hold the same sinuous style.
Revisit Bizarrechats for more on "Medusa Reinvented" and the mythological *PPFSZT! #52. Rest assured, more ancient wonderment is coming!
