You were there to fight and struggle, giving the screen a jarring lift when others hid in the shadows.

(Your memoir, A Zombie's Life: Italy's Whipping Boy..., celebrates your shameless sojourns to great, effective measure.) 

You'll be remembered with each view of each film, Mr. Radice, respected for drawing our attention and of course, keeping us always on the edge of our seats.

You lived to a grand, ol' age and charmed your way through each year, enthralling fans with many appealing appearances, on screen and in person.

My favorite of your portrayals is of unjustly maligned Esmeralda in director Jean Delannoy's 1956 adaptation of Victor Hugo's The Hunchback of Notre Dame, opposite Anthony Quinn's impassioned and downtrodden Quasimodo. You brought a sauciness and innocence to the role, just as Hugo had woven throughout his epic text: spot-on to an breathtaking extent.  

You were also an incomparable heartthrob, a cinematic pin-up who also possessed the acting chomps to calibrate her performances.

You will be endlessly revered as a movie icon, Ms. Lollobrigida, a goddess who roamed this humble earth, who now reigns the peaks of Mount Olympus. 

FAREWELL, FRANCESCA KITTEN NATIVIDAD...

Whether it was with audacious guru Russ Meyer or tantalizing all on your own, you made the rounds to make many an anxious gent happy with your spry and physical endowments. 

And you did so through a number of stand-out avenues: Up!; Beneath the Valley of the Ultra-Vixens; The New Centurions; An Evening with Kitten; The Double-D Avenger; Airplane II; Another 48 Hours; Takin' It Off; Takin' It All Off; The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas; The Tomb; The Wild Life; Bodacious Ta Ta; Night Patrol; Nightbeats; My Tutor; 40 the Hard Way; 70 the Hard Way; Buford's Beach Bunnies; Night at the Golden Eagle; and much more, all while you hit the tv-circuit with appearances on the popular Gong Show, $1.98 Beauty Show and Dating Game. 

You were generous to your fans, and with this, sealed your fate as one of the most adored and ogled women to ever emerge. You'll now live on in our fond memories, Ms. Natividad, appreciated and missed for the spunk and wonderment you so selflessly shared. 

GOODBYE, JULIE ADAMS...

Whether by your long-term, first name, Julie, or the short-term Julia and Betty, you were prolific on levels that most performers could only dream, starring in every genre imaginable, whether on the big or small screen. 

Some of your most memorable roles were in "Bend of the River"; "The Dalton Gang"; "The Man from the Alamo"; "The Gunfight at Dodge City"; "The Private War of Major Benson"; "Slaughter on 10th Avenue"; "Psychic Killer"; "The Killer Inside Me"; "Tickle Me"; "Underwater City"; "The Texan"; "The Big Valley"; "The Rifleman"; "Bonanza"; "Twelve O'Clock High"; "One Step Beyond"; "Climax!"; "The Girl from U.N.C.L.E."; "The Incredible Hulk"; "Search"; "Lost"; "Ironside"; "Capitol"; and "Murder, She Wrote".

However, your stand-out role was as Kay Lawrence in Jack Arnold's 3D classic, "Creature from the Black Lagoon", where  you not only enchanted the Gill-man, but many a bug-eyed boy. 

Thanks for all the sweet memories, Ms. Adams. Your adoring fans will miss you more than mere words can ever convey. 

GOODBYE, PAUL KOSLO...

You were a character actor for all character actors to learn from and aspire to be, Mr. Koslo: cool, creepy and kind. 

You especially shined in pulpy, hard-hitting cinema, covering the bases to an exhausting extent: "Nam's Angels/the Losers"; "Love and Bullets"; "The Stone Killer"; "Mr. Majestyk"; "Joe Kidd"; "Rooster Cogburn"; "Cleopatra Jones"; "Freebie and the Bean"; "The Drowning Pool"; "The Annihilators"; "Bootleggers"; "Inferno '99"; "Vanishing Point '71"; "Loose Cannons"; and the ominous "Omega Man".

You also made your way through a slew of television series, including "The Incredible Hulk"; "The Fall Guy"; "The A-Team"; "Galactica 1980"; "Buck Rogers in the 25th Century"; "Mission: Impossible"; "The Dukes of Hazzard"; "Longstreet"; "T.J. Hooker"; "Quincy" and "Hunter".

To many (myself included), your stand-out role came as the mad, Russian antagonist, Alexander in the cult classic, "Robot Jox". Man, you should have won an Oscar for that!!!

Without question, your varied personas and stupendous skills will inspire whatever exciting sectors you may now roam. As for our terrestrial realm, you left an incomparable legacy, to be relished for years to come. 

GOODBYE, SONDRA LOCKE...

You made your mark in the moving classic, "The Heart is a Lonely Hunter" and continued to impress audiences with your charm and abilities for years thereafter.

Among the weird, wonderful and adventurous, there was "Willard"; "The Shadow of Chikara"; and "Death Game"; as well as your co-starring appearances in the Clint Eastwood hits, "The Outlaw Josie Whales"; "Bronco Bill"; "The Gauntlet"; "Sudden Impact"; "Every Which Way But Loose"; and "Every Which Way You Can". You even proved yourself a deft director with your radical "Ratboy"; and became a faithful presence through such television shows as "Night Gallery"; "Planet of the Apes"; "Amazing Stories"; "Tales of the Unexpected"; and "Kung Fu". 

Many of us learned of your passing far too late, Ms. Locke, which makes your departure hit all the harder, proving how much you were appreciated ... how deeply you'll be missed. 

GOODBYE, CELESTE YARNALL...

You were striking in looks and enormous in talent, a vixen and angel, packaged as one. 

As such, you stood out in roles big or small, granting charm to such movies as "Around the World Under the Sea"; "The Beast of Blood"; "Live a Little, Love a Little"; "The Mechanic '72", "The Nutty Professor '63"; "Scorpio" and of course, "Eve" and "The Velvet Vampire".

On the small screen, you were no less inviting, as demonstrated by your performances on "It Takes a Thief"; "The Man from U.N.C.L.E."; "Land of the Giants"; "Hogan's Heroes"; "Bonanza"; "Mannix"; and the "Star Trek" installments, "The Apple" and "Of Gods and Men".

To your fans, you were valued and cherished to no end. To those yet destined to discover your endearing attributes--oh, what sublime splendor awaits! 

May your spirit live long and prosper, dear lady...wherever you may roam...in whatever part you may play.   

GOODBYE, ROGER MOORE...

I became a fan thanks to your suave portrayal of Simon Templar on "The Saint". You then charmed me with your smooth transition into the James Bond franchise, carrying your 007 persona through a string of whimsical hits: "Live and Let Die"; "The Man with the Golden Gun"; "The Spy Who Loved Me"; "Moonraker"; "For Your Eyes Only"; "Octopussy"; and "A View to a Kill". 

Your in-between jaunts also delighted me, including "Gold"; "Ffolks"; "Sherlock Holmes in New York"; "Wild Geese"; and the uproarious "Cannonball Run"; as well as your continuing roles in "Maverick" and  "The Persuaders".

You're still a hero to me, Sir Roger, and you always will be. Thanks for the wonderful escapism you bestowed upon the world. Your sterling efforts will remain forever appreciated...forever admired. 

GOODBYE, QUINN O'HARA...

I can't tell you how many times your curvaceous frame entered my adolescent mind, for that's how strong your presence was felt in the "Ghost in the Invisible Bikini". You also added to the joy of "Swingin' Summer" and the Jerry Lewis trio, "The Errand Boy"; "The Patsy"; and "Who's Minding the Store". You even handled horror quite well, as you proved in Larry Buchanan's "In the Year 2889"; and never failed to please when visiting such television shows as "Burke's Law"; "The Real McCoys"; and "The Man from U.N.C.L.E." You'll dance and sway forever and a day in my dreams, but undoubtedly even more so where you now belong, upon the clouds of Paradise.
