SIGN THE FANTASTIC FOUR (1994) PETITION

I stumbled upon a new, while-it-lasts, YouTube post for a remastered print of The Fantastic Four (1994). Along with the full movie, which does, indeed, look stunning, there's a petition listed. The petition (pinned by Comic Book Radio) comes courtesy of Joseph Culp, who plays Doctor Victor Von Doom. Culp hopes to get this gem official disc, streaming and theatrical releases through Marvel Studios, thus positioning it further in the public eye.

I'm all for that, since I consider Roger Corman/Oley (Future Shock) Sassone's version quite satisfying. Some have compared it to a higher-tier, television or Cannon production, which I can appreciate, but I believe Fantastic Four (1994) holds many of the exciting elements existent in classic, movie serials, though filtered through the Silver Age sensibility of its Stan Lee/Jack Kirby foundation.

The cast is spot-on, with Culp teamed with Alex Hyde-White's Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Rebecca Staab's Susan Storm/The Invisible Girl, Jay Underwood's Johnny Storm/The Human Torch and Michael Bailey Smith/Carl Ciarfalio's Ben Grimm/The Thing.

and to sign the petition, enter

In both instances, you'll be doing right by this fantastic, feel-good labor of love.
