Main Enterprises' What Ever! #5 is at long last in development and will cater to Disney's The Black Hole and classic Star Trek, with a combination of in-depth articles and outstanding artwork. (As one can see below, Tim Faurote's grandiose, team-up image epitomizes the issue's meteoritic intent.)
The Black Hole's primary competition in Dec '79 was, in fact, Star Trek--the Motion Picture. I'll be contributing an article on the latter, which is once more set to grace cinemas in grand, 4K UHD restoration.
Star Trek--TMP was a blockbuster in its time, but like Black Hole, controversial. The Trek revival took a more cerebral approach to tell its tale, and languid existentialism doesn't always please.
Nevertheless, I plan to do justice to the Enterprise-vs-V'ger exploit, even if I'm finding it quite an undertaking, considering all the available information on the movie's production and legacy.
Check Bizarrechats for further info on this audacious Black Hole/Star Trek tribute. What Ever! #5 is destined to be an out-of-this-world winner on all cosmic counts.
