SO LONG, JAMES OLSON...

Man, were you ever a fine actor, Mr. Olson, whether seizing the lead or lending support to any given dramatic cause.

Your television credits alone are place you on an iconic perch: Battlestar Galactica; The Bionic Woman; Wonder Woman; Columbo; Mannix; Marcus Welby, M.D.; The Streets of San Francisco; IronsidePolice Woman; Barnaby Jones; Most Wanted; Lou Grant; Murder, She WroteMaudeBonanza; Have Gun - Will Travel; The Virginian; Little House on the Prairie; The New Land and The Kraft Theater.

In feature films, you kicked it all the higher with Commando; Paper Man; Wild Rovers; Ragtime; Sharkfighters; Rachel, Rachel; The Strange One; The Stalking Moon; Missiles of October and The Groundstar Conspiracy.

However, it was in science fiction and horror movies that you redefined your presence, with The Andromeda Strain '71; Moon Zero Two; The Spell; The Mafu Cage; and Amityville II: The Possession. (You were a constant scene-stealer as the anguished Father Adamsky in the latter, and it was from such that I became your biggest fan.)

God bless you and all your outstanding performances. You never failed to emote with sincerity and strength, and for that, your body of work will shine forevermore.
