EIGHTH TOWER'S DARK FICTION #4: TALES OF THE OUTER GOD

Eighth Tower publisher Raffaele Pezzella has revealed the theme for Dark Fiction, Vol 4. It's Lovecraftian, with special emphasis on the Outer God, Yog-Sothoth.

Pezzella shared the above illustration from acclaimed Lovecraftian artist, MrZarono (and yes, there's no space in the name) to inspire the Dark Fiction ensemble to create new escapades for the strange and powerful thing born of mist.

For me, the illustration spurred a story called "Yog-Sothoth, Beyond the Border".

My tale holds an underlying, socio-political bent, but not to the extent that it would rub either side of the migratory issue too far the wrong way. "Beyond the Border" is a supernatural, monster fable above all, and that, in itself, should please most readers (or so I'm presuming; we'll see).
