R.I.P. JIMMY WANG YU

You stood strong and swiped swift as a Shaw Brothers icon, with a multitude of fabulous adventures under your belt.

The Chinese Boxer and The Return of the Chinese Boxer, as well as The One-Armed Swordman franchise (The One-Armed Swordsman; The Return of the One-Armed Swordsman; Zatoichi and the One-Armed Swordsman; The One-Armed Swordsman Against Nine Killers, the latter of which you produced) placed you on Eternity's Trail, but there are many more that sealed your fate as an unforgettable, cinematic hero.

Your extensive library includes The One-Armed Boxer; Master of the Flying Guillotine; Golden Swallow; Temple of the Red Rose; The Beheaded 1000; Island of Fire; The Assassin; Millionaire's Express; A Queen's Ransom; Knight Errant; The Twin Swords; The Invincible Sword; The Sword and the Lute; The Sword of Swords; The Magnificent Trio; The Professional Killer; The Man from Hong Kong; Beach of the War Gods; and Ten Fingers of Steel, to name but a few.

You lived a full, spirited life, Mr. Yu, with a legacy that would put most prime actioners to shame. May you now liven dear Heaven with your prowess, as your movies continue to inspire those who fight the good fight on Earth.
