As indicated in prior posts, Main Enterprises still has a number of titles in its pipeline. They've been delayed due to unforeseen circumstances, but rest assured, they're on the way. In addition to those releases, another title has entered the roster: Toy Collectors Journal.
Jim Main published Toy Collectors Journal decades ago, and his prevailing passion for collecting prompted him to revive it.
My contribution to the upcoming issue is on the A.C. Gilbert, toy lines for James Bond, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Honey West and Moon McDare. Though I was a wee lad when these Gilbert novelties hit the shelves, I do remember them fondly, in particular the derby-tossing, Harold Sakata Oddjob, which I played with for hours on end.
In addition to my Gilbert article, Tim Temmel will supply a look at action-figure knock-offs throughout the years. Now, that sounds most interesting and a lot of fun.
Please revisit Bizarrechats for more on this exciting issue's progression.
