A new Raffaele Pezzella/Eighth Tower Publishing Dark Fiction edition has arrived, and it accompanies the company's audio tribute of the same, exotic name (reviewed in an earlier, Bizarrechats post): Mysterium, Incubus et Terror!
The curation's contents include "Fall of the House of Usher", "The Pit and the Pendulum", "The Murders in the Rogue Morgue", "The Mask of the Red Death", "The Descent Into the Maelstrom", "The Premature Burial", "The Oval Portrait", "Metzengerstein", "The Gold-bug", "Ms Found in a Bottle", "The Scythe of Time" and "Ligeia". (The volume also includes an insightful preface by prolific writer, Andy Paciorek.)
What makes this volume all the more special is that it's illustrated by the masterful John D. Chadwick, who also rendered the devilish front and back cover imagery. (For the record, Chadwick supplied the ghoulish artwork for Eighth Tower's Dracula: 125th Anniversary Edition, as well.)
Mysterium, Incubus Et Terror is an essential for any Poe connoisseur. Either hardback or paperback copies can be purchased at
