AIRSHIP 27 PRESENTS THE MUSKETEERS NEW ADVENTURES

En garde! Alexandre Dumas' quartet of regal crusaders, Athos, Aramis, Porthos and D'Artagnan, return to swashbuckling splendor in Airship 27 Productions' prolific, The Musketeers New Adventures.

There are three, action-packed stories enclosed in this fine edition (a novella and two short stories), written by Joel Jenkins, Paul Beale and Alan J. Porter; the contents are supported by Adam Shaw's sword-clashing cover and Ed Catto's opulent interiors.

The submissions include an anti-Spain campaign in Italy, where D'Artagnan meets a beautiful countess with insurgent, "god of plague" ties; the Musketeers' protection of the lovely Lady Latour against the crafty Cardinal Richelieu and his menacing minions; and Richelieu's devilish quest for a correspondence that could mark the Queen of France a traitor.

Each tale emulates Dumas' florid style, and the scenarios smack of various film versions, including the bawdy Richard Lester chapters and the recent, introspective, BBC series. All in all, the ingredients personify that spirited, ol' adage, "All for one, and one for all."
