A pox on the godforsaken Washington Post and its derogatory moves to thrive, topped now by Jordan D. Metzi's February 9th assessment on exercise.
Encouraging people to flop, vegetate and inflate, as opposed to combining exertion with smart, dietary habits, equals malpractice--no, make that unconditional quackery!
The sad thing is, there are people who'll now use the proclamation to reject any sensible, health agenda: e.g. a reasonable, Mike Tyson, MAHA commercial that essays the virtue of eating right, like taking a nice, big bite out of a nice, big apple.
I believe this is another attempt to keep a portion of society puppetized by corporate decree, a means to make citizens dependent on insurance services and medications they wouldn't otherwise need.
To prompt people to stay in shape (to exercise and consume quality food with the ideal, caloric intake) isn't fat shaming. It's compassionate. It's wise. It's also nonpartisan ... or should be.
Don't buy the highbrow spin, folks. Take care of yourselves. You don't have to morph into Steve Reeves or Raquel Welch to get through life, but at least have the self-respect to be the best possible you, no matter what any renowned, propagandist periodical promotes.
