FANGORIA'S FRANKENSTEIN TRIBUTE

Fangoria's revived run has released a second-printing, 100-pg Frankenstein, commemorative issue, centering on Guillermo del Toro's 2025, Netflix feature, with interviews and insights into the acclaimed, baroque production, including Mike Hill's impressive, Creature design for Jacob Elordi.

The issue also dissects the 1910, Edison experiment, the Universal and Hammer franchises, as well as the comedic and offbeat takes on Mary Shelley's perennial work.

The magazine's graphics and archival details are superb, but would anyone expect anything less from the legendary Fangoria

From what's been conveyed, this is the first in a planned series of eight, thematic issues from Fangoria. The idea is interesting, though perhaps more in tune with what Famous Monsters of Filmland used to do, or what Classic Monsters of the Movies does now, than old-school Fangoria, but I appreciate the ambition and do believe it'll draw readers, as well as give an extra boost to the magazine's already established academia.

For the present, Fangoria's Frankenstein tribute can be ordered at
