R.I.P. SAMANTHA EGGAR

You were always a favorite of mine, starting with your fabulous performance as Miranda in The Collector, with the late, great Terence Stamp.

In the horror/thriller/exploitation genres, you excelled in such movies as The Brood, The Dead Are Alive (aka The Etruscan Kills Again), The Uncanny, A Name for Evil, Curtains, The Exterminator, Demonoid: The Messenger of Death and The Astronaut's Wife

Beyond the nightmarish menace, you became as welcomed sight in Doctor Doolittle 1967, Dr. Crippen, Doctor in Distress, The Light at the End of the World, Welcome to Blood City, The Seven Percent Solution, The Molly Maguires, The Phantom 1996, Rajin' Cagun, The Hot Touch, Love Among Thieves, Dark Horse, Disney's Hercules, The Magic Voyage, Why Shoot the Teacher?, The Biggest Battle, All the Kind Strangers, Double Indemnity 1973, Psyche 59Return from the Ashes, The Walking Stick, Walk Don't Run ... and The Lady in the Car with Glasses and a Gun

Though I (and others) discovered your passing rather late, the impact of your departure is no less great, Ms. Eggar, as is our persistent devotion to you: one of the most beautiful and talented ladies that cinema has ever had the privilege to know.
