With Hallmark's October 2024, fantastic flow of ornaments in full swing, I felt the urge to spotlight two of the grand lot.
The first depicts Adam West and Burt Ward as Batman and Robin, from the classic, 1966, television series. For this commemoration, the Caped Crusaders are depicted climbing a building in "Wall-Scaling Wonders," which makes one wonder what celebrity might just grant them a cameo. 😁
This fetching piece measures 5" x 3" x 2". I don't know the sculptor, but whoever rendered it sure did a dynamic (pun intended) job.
And in keeping with the DC vibe, there' a swell, Clark Kent piece, where the intrepid reports is shown transforming into Superman (i.e. tearing off his shirt to reveal his family crest), as his tie flings to the side.
The musculature and expression on Kal-El signals pure action, and the colorful figure measures a respectable 4.5" x 2" x 1". As with the Batman/Robin ornament, I don't know who sculpted this one, but it's a job well done and then some.
