RENATO D'ANGELO'S BATMAN BAD GIRLS: A SEXY SALUTE TO THE CLASSIC SERIES

Batman fans have great cause to rejoice, in particular those who love the Adam West/Burt Ward '60s series, thanks to publisher Renato D'Angelo, who presents a pictorial rundown of the show's crafty and captivating females.

Batman Bad Girls tosses the spotlight on such sexy principals as Carolyn Jones (Marsha, the Queen of Diamonds); Joan Collins (the Siren); Anne Baxter (Olga, Queen of the Bessarovian Cossacks & Zelda the Great), along with that purr-fect trio, Julie Newmar, Lee Meriwether and Eartha Kitt (Catwoman). However, D'Angelo's publication also emphasizes those eye-catching, bad-gal sidekicks.

The supporting bevy includes Jill St. John (Molly); Myrna Fahey (Blaze); Donna Loren (Susie); Sherry Jackson (Pauline); Francine York (Lydia Limpet); Nancy Kovack (Queenie); Susan Silo (Mousey); Julie Gregg (Finella); Linda Scott (Moth); Terry Moore (Venus); Kathy Kersh (Cornelia); Tisha Sterling (Legs); Lesley Gore (Pussycat); Phyllis Douglas (Josie); Deanna Lund (Anna Gram); Sharyn Winters (Eenie); Leslie Parrish (Glacia Glaze); and Lyn Peters (Lady Prudence).

D'Angelo's layout (which measures approximately 11" x 18") is superlative, with each high-stock page featuring super-sharp black-and-white and color photos (180-plus, no less). Many of the enclosed images have never seen print before and are distinguished by unique angles and special scopes. In a nutshell, each bad-girl salute creates a full-fledged, pin-up feast for the nostalgic senses, with an informative history listed for each conniving beauty and the episodes in which they appear.

For those who appreciate the classic '60s series (and who the heck doesn't?), D'Angelo's Batman Bad Girls is a magnificent, Bat-titillating dream come true.

  1. I´ve get my copy in 2013, signed by Renato Dangelo. Awesome book, plenty of rare and unpublished photos. One of my favourites pieces of my bat-collection.
