On a recent Walmart sojourn, I purchased a Playmates Kong with Battle-Axe Action Figure, based on WB/Legendary Film's Godzilla vs Kong.
Kong is my favorite, cinematic behemoth, no matter the incarnation and that includes the Skull Island/Godzilla vs Kong rendition.
To make this 6" Playmate figure all the cooler, it features 10 points of posable articulation and depicts Kong with an open mouth and scratches on his chest, along with a nasty, upper-arm wound, which can be concealed with a snap-on, pliant panel if one desires. In addition, Kong comes with his much-speculated-upon weapon, which harnesses an evident, Godzilla fin.
Battle-axe Kong gets me all the more hyped for this month's Godzilla vs Kong HBO-Max premiere. The figure is also the first collectible I've gained for this particular Monsterverse movie, so its sentimental weight is only bound to elevate.
