Oh, yes! I'm still on a Diamond Select, Marvel Gallery, PVC kick. My latest is a 9" statue of Frank Castle, the Punisher.
What I like about this piece is its Hellenistic quality, in particular on Castle's face, though the creases and flecks on his famous, skull-chested outfit are also effective. As designed by Caeser and sculpted by Jonathan Matthews, the overall look captures that of a man who's lost it all, but now seeks retribution, not only for himself, but for all those victims who cannot seek it for themselves.
The pose is also great, so regal and commanding, depicting a sequestered, factory-insinuated base that feels so right for the Punisher's hideout.
As with other Diamond Select, Marvel Gallery submissions, this one comes in a spiffy, window-framed package, for those who wish to keep our anguished hero MIB.
I can't praise this one enough. Without question, it's one of the best Punisher representations ever manufactured.
