MAIN'S PULP FAN #8: FROM PAGE TO SCREEN

Main Enterprises' Pulp Fan #8 is here: a homage to pulp heroes of the silver screen.

As such, we're served a comprehensive view of The Shadow's movie adaptations (from chapter plays to Russell Mulcahy's big-budget feature) by Will Murray; an assessment of The Spider's Warren Hull cliffhangers by Michael Housel; and an honest analysis of George Pal/Michael Anderson's would-be blockbuster, Doc Savage: Man of Bronze, by Dennis Kininger.

To accentuate the content, Robert J. Sodaro's layout shines big time, featuring crisp photos and wonderful illustrations by Kevin Dale Duncan, Jack Bertram, Roland Austin, Frank Hamilton and Tim Faurote (who designed the front and back covers).

As with all of his titles, publisher Main gives a heartfelt intro, which nicely sets the pace.

This is a enjoyable, in-depth collectible that any fan of cinematic action/adventure would be wise to own.

To preorder a copy of Pulp Fan #8, please Paypal Mr. Main $12.00 (which includes in-the-U.S. shipping only) to jmain44@aol.com; be certain to include your mailing and email address when ordering. The first 50 individuals who take advantage of this exciting pre-order will receive a gorgeous 8.5" x 11" color print (on glossy, index-card stock!), plus a PDF of the issue before the printed copy  arrives at your door. If interested in just the PDF, that's fine, too. Paypal Mr. Main $2.00, and he'll email the download to you in a jiffy.
