RON FORTIER'S BEYOND THE STARS: A SILVERLINE/KICKSTARTER CAMPAIGN

For those who visit Bizarrechats, the name Ron Fortier holds enormous weight. With Rob Davis, Fortier helms the New Pulp company, Airship 27 Productions. He’s also the mastermind behind Mr. Jigsaw, The Black Lion, Brother Bones and The Boston Bombers, in addition to having contributed to such noted franchises as The Green Hornet, RamboPopeye, The TerminatorPeter Pan and Gene Roddenberry's Lost Universe.

Fortier now embarks on an exciting, new science-fiction/comic-book series: Beyond the Stars.

Beyond the Stars is sponsored by Silverline Comics, in conjunction with its president, Roland (Cat & Mouse) Mann, and will feature exquisite artwork by Italian illustrator, Andrea Bormida and elegant lettering by Mike W. Belcher.

Fortier's six-issue odyssey presents a brave band of scientific adventurers, helmed by the capable Kal and alien-expert Professor Yonel Travane, who blast forth to halt a galactic anomaly from harming humankind. The unfolding voyage should please fans of Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica and Space Cruiser Yamato, as well as devotees of Heavy Metal and Epic Illustrated, while it holds a special quality that’s all its own.

Word has it that Fortier’s conceptualization is pitch-perfect on all counts, which should come as no surprise, considering the author’s proven track record.

Beyond the Stars is currently capturing funding through a progressing Kickstarter campaign, which is linked to a package deal with the accompanying titles: The Obsoletes (a fable in which space miners succumb to a Rip Van Winkle dilemma) and Krey (where a young man is raised to become a warrior by those who slayed his parents).
