RIP VIRGINIA LEITH...

You beguiled and enchanted as Jan Compton in the super-splatter classic, "The Brain That Wouldn't Die", but you were also a familiar face in other memorable submissions, including "One Step Beyond" ("The Bride Possessed": the very first episode, no less); "Great Ghost Tales"; "The Millionaire"; "Starsky and Hutch"; "Baretta"; "Black Widow"; "On the Threshold of Space"; "White Feather"; "Fear and Desire"; "Toward the Unknown"; "Violent Saturday"; and the ultra thrilling "A Kiss Before Dying '56".

In addition to your exemplary acting, you were a beauty of the highest caliber, glamorous on all counts, even when the role called for chills.

You meant more to your fans that you might realize, Ms. Leith: a legend, an icon and an eternal beacon who'll long delight our brightest and darkest dreams.
