RIP ALEXANDER DAVION...

You added western pep to such cinematic, television journeys as "Zane Grey Theater"; "Have Gun--Will Travel"; "Death Valley Days"; "Custer"; and "Charley One-Eye".

On the investigative/adventure scene, you left your stellar stamp on such series as "Gideon's Way"; "The Man From Moscow"; and "The Man Who Never Was"; along with a spiffy visit to television's original "The Saint". You were also Captain Greg Martin's virile voice in Gerry Anderson's "Thunderbirds are Go", as well as a guest star on the producer's popular "UFO".

Fans of the weird and gritty relished your parts in "The Plague of the Zombies";  "Paranoiac";  "Incense for the Damned" (aka "Bloodsuckers"); "Hunchback of Notre Dame '66" (as Captain Phoebus); "One Step Beyond: To Know the End"; "Thriller: the Prediction"; and "Out of the Unknown: the Counterfeit Man", while exploitation connoisseurs celebrated your bold entrance in "Valley of the Dolls".

You epitomize cool sophistication right down the line, Mr. Davion: the sort of actor viewers can't help but admire, but alas, are now in decline. May your handsome persona continue to gladden, not only for your established fans, but those yet to arrive.

  1. To the gentleman I unintentionally offended, the "Evans" image has been removed/replaced; the sources that have used the image with Mr. Davion's name have been notified and can follow suit with their own remedies, if they should so choose.

    2. Thank you for removing that image of the late film producer, Robert Evans. No offence taken, mistakes happen. Does anyone have an image A Davion in old age?

    3. Alas, I've only have seen the removed image used in commemorative instances. No doubt veritable images of the actor later in life are out there somewhere.
