SUPERBABES #17 & #18: SHE-CAT, TARA & NIGHTVEIL, FRONT & CENTER

AC's all-color Superbabes #17 & #18 have hit shelves in a simultaneous explosion.

The (backordered) #17 kicks off the two-fold adventure, presenting a She-Cat/Tara-based extravaganza, where the feline exemplar disguises herself as the towering Ms. Fremont to face a shifty "philanthropist," but can she withstand the intoxicated outcome?

Issue #18 continues the high-stakes shenanigans, but shifts gears to center on Nightveil and a Valkyra attack. Can Femforce strike her down? Ah, that might prove easier said than done, even as She-Cat leaps in for the "kill."

This AC, double whammy works with complementing charm, thanks to super-talented contributors Bobby Ragland, Mark and Stephanie Heike.

These action-packed issues appear to be hard to find, so keep your eyes peeled and grab 'em before they're gone. (I was fortunate to purchase my copies thru Steve's Comic Relief on Quakerbridge Road, Village Commons in Lawrenceville NJ: one's ideal hub for all things superheroic.)

And don't miss out on Superbabes #19, which promises to dispatch zombie-fied terrors galore!

SUPERBABES #16: DESPERATELY SEEKING FEMFORCE

AC's all-color Superbabes #16 presents more Jungle Island action, spearheaded by the dimensional-tumbling Black Phantom in a chapter called "Desperately Seeking Femforce."

After the gals anticipate the sexy Phantom's entrance into the Femforce fold, She-Cat and Synn face an attacking automaton, as Tara lifts an elephant and Ms. Victory and Paragon (in a special chapter of their own) enjoy a little romance. All in all, our Femforce members sure have lots on their collective plate!

Issue #16's escapades are brought to life by Bobby Ragland, Andrea Modugno, and Mark and Stephanie Heike. This talented crew does an excellent, if not flawless job enlivening each interlocking chapter.

Be sure to purchase this essential installment at your favorite online source or neighborhood comic-book shop. I got mine at Comic Relief on Quakerbridge Road, Village Commons, Lawrenceville, NJ, an ideal hub to fulfill every superheroic need.

And get set for the next exciting episode in the Superbabes saga. Looks to be a steamy one, too, as She-Cat goes undercover as Tara!

FEMFORCE #201: TRADING PLACES

A "Future Shock" seizes Femforce #201, as the slick Shimmer catapults Stormy Tempest from the far future. However, it all bounces back to 2023, where Femforce must unravel how and why Ms. Tempest landed in their headquarters.

Meanwhile, Nightveil's Cloak of Darkness is kept in Dr. Farb's lab, manifesting an angry, yellow demon. Thank goodness, Ms. Victory and Tara are there to curb the mayhem ... if they can.

As a bonus, #201 sports a snazzy, She-Cat story, "The Path You Walk Is Thorny, My Son." Now, how's that for a nifty, Wolf Man allusion? The title is by no means unmerited, for the story does feature a lycanthrope.

As one can deduce, #201's contents are quite winsome, all thanks to contributors, Mark & Stephanie Heike, Bill Black, Eric Coile and Bobby Ragland, who do a smashing job with the all-color escapades.

Purchase a copy of #201 at your favorite, comic-book shop or preferred, online source. (I got my copy at Steve's Comic Relief on Quakerbridge Road, Village Commons, Lawrenceville, NJ: a jaunty joint to satisfy any and all superheroic needs.)

And remember, Femforce #202 is lurking right around the bend with a whole new explosion of riveting action and moralistic, sex appeal.

SUPERBABES #10: SUPER-SEXY, COED SOLDIERING

AC's Superbabes #10 swoops forth with an all-color, super-sexy, coed soldiering issue, as its mighty, Ms. Victory cover conveys.

If the truth be known, the combative lines may be blurred for a spell on this one, but all the same, our smokin' heroine is there to fight the Strong Hand, along with other Femforce favorites, Stardust, Nightveil, She-Cat, Tara, Synn, Roberta Strock and Janis Lawson, in action that picks up straight from last issue's rumble in the jungle.

"Days Without Frontiers", as this segment is called, also spotlights Rad, but in this current conundrum, is she good or bad? Her mom, Ms. Victory, would sure like to know and of course, so will the readers, who'll hang on every panel, thanks to Mark Heike's tight script, which is emboldened by his splendid inks, as well as Stephanie Heike's impressive coloring and the profound penciling of Bobby Ragland.

As a bonus, Superbabes #10 includes "Haeir of the Gorgon", a ghastly Gorgana, origin fable by Mr. Heike, who co-colored with Ms. Heike. The interlude is supported by the ornate penciling of Dario Carrasco. A Prince Valiant vibe characterizes this one, but don't be surprised to find traces of eerie EC throughout.

Superbabes #10 can be purchased at any number of comic shops and online sources. I bought mine at Steve's Comic Relief on Quakerbridge Road, Lawrenceville, NJ, a fruitful hub for all of one's superheroic/collectible needs.

And don't forget, Superbabes #11 is right around the bend. Hot diggity! Can't wait!

FEMFORCE #195: GIANTESS V GIANTESS

AC's all-color Femforce #195 lands a walloping punch of the giantess kind, with the mega spotlight falling upon the Garganta-inspired Stella Stargaze and the towering Tara Fremont, who end up in a powerhouse confrontation that Femforce fans won't soon forget (and this is just the first part of their titanic clash).

Bill Black's story and Art Coile's imagery tie it all together to majestic perfection, as Ms. Victory, She-Cat, Synn, Nightveil, Stardust and Paragon guest star.

Readers are also treated to a She-Cat supplement called "Driving Miss Crazy", wherein our heroine must race to the finish line to get her licence renewed, though not before facing a Nightveil-tied obstacle. The frantic spree features pleasing artwork by Mark & Stephanie Heike, sprung from a clever script by Mark and abetted by Bobby Ragland's vibrant layout.

Femforce #195 is a blast from beginning to end and acts as exciting warm-up for the inevitable #196.

Grab a copy of #195 at your favorite comic shop or on-line source. (I nabbed mine at Steve's Comic Relief on Quakerbridge Road in Lawrenceville, NJ: the ideal hub to satisfy one's superheroic needs.)

FEMFORCE #191: NIGHTVEIL VS ALIZARIN CRIMSON AND MORE

AC's Femforce #191 presents a new, super-splash of whirlwinding wonder.

Nightveil challenges Alizarin Crimson in a bloody brawl to maintain her mystical cloak, as ravishing (and colossal) Roberta Strock stomps around. Scarlet Scorpion, meanwhile, assists the Femforce after the gals snap from a nightmarish trance. There's a punctilious performance by the powerful Paragon, as well, and titanic Tara concludes the issue in a tale tingling of sweltering, jungle sweat.

Bill Black and Bobby Ragland's plotting once more crackles with sexy satisfaction, while the issue's artwork, by Black, Ragland, Eric Coile, Jeff Austin, Josh Rodriguez and Mark and Stephanie Heike, brings everything to full-color circle.

Purchase Femforce #191 at your favorite, online source or local comic shop. (I got mine at Steve's Comic Relief on Quakerbridge Road in Lawrenceville, NJ: a prolific spot that'll fulfill everyone's comic-book cravings.)
