*PPFSZT! #52: GREEK MYTHOLOGY ISSUE BACK ON TRACK

An unforeseen matter has delayed several Main Enterprises titles, but lo and behold, *PPFSZT! #52 has, indeed, resumed its formatting phase.

*PPFSZT! #52 will be an all-out, Greek mythology issue. My story, "Medusa Reinvented," will be part of the contents, adorned by fabulous artwork from Keith Newsome. The above, Clash of the Titans-influenced shot is one of his four, flavorful renderings. 

I've also had the pleasure of seeing several panels of Verl Bond's Jason and the Argonauts, comic adventure. The imagery is beyond breathtaking! 

In my estimation, *PPFSZT! #52 will please every god on Mount Olympus and every mortal wise enough to possess it!

*PPFSZT! #52: MEDUSA REINVENTED SNEAK PEEK

I've decided to toss caution to the wind and display the entirety of Keith Newsome's illustrations for Main Enterprises' *PPFSZT! #52. Newsome's creations will accompany my story, "Medusa Reinvented." (This Greek-mythology, special-edition issue should reach publication early this year.) 

And so without further ado, here are Newsome's illustrations. 

Above is Orados and Dimitrios, the story's leads, during their opening exchange, discussing a strange object the boy has "unearthed."

The next shot is of Orados studying the strange find, followed by a flashback of Perseus in adventurous "Kraken"-battle mode. This is followed by an eerie but sexy view of the tale's titular "titan." 

Not only will these detailed wonders elevate *PPFSZT! #52, but many more. Stay tuned!

MEDUSA & CRUSOE SUBMITTED

I'm proud to report that I've completed two, exciting pieces for Main Enterprises, one for *PPFSZT! #52 and the other for Sci-Fi Shall Not Die, Vol 2, #2. 

*PPFSZT! #52 will cater to Greek mythology, and for that curation, I've composed a Medusa tale, which analyzes the consistent retooling of her legend. 

Sci-Fi Shall Not Die #2, is Mars oriented, with plenty of War of the Worlds material slated. My contribution is on Robinson Crusoe on Mars, which was, in fact, helmed by War of the Worlds 1953's director, Byron Haskin. 

With sixty years having passed, many of Robinson Crusoe on Mars' production details have turned hazy, but I do trust I've confirmed the essentials to satisfy the movie's many fans. 

Jim Main and Bob Sodaro will format both issues with photos and illustrations. I've no doubt that *PPFSZT! #52 and Sci-Fi Shall Not Die #2 will be two, additional winners among their perennial accomplishments.

*PPFSZT! #52: GREEK MYTHOLOGY CELEBRATION

Main Enterprises' *PPFSZT! #52 will spotlight Greek mythology. 

My assignment: Medusa!  But where to begin for such a fictional extension? There are so many varied aspects to The Gorgon legend, including Joshua Kennedy's recent, Hammer homages; plus it's darn hard to shake Clash of the Titans' ubiquitous influence, no matter the original or remake and subsequent sequel. 

I decided to reference as much mythological tidbits as possible for the story and then expand on it from there. (To be honest, the process is rather like constructing a Tarzan sequel, daring to graze, but never mention, all of the ape man's [re]interpreted origins.) 

Despite the challenge, I'm moving along, having fun outlining my concept.
