YES, VIRGINIA, THERE IS A "NOSFERATU" ON BUCK ROGERS (A KNOW-IT-ALL REBUTTAL)

The thing about know-it-alls is that they really don't know much of anything, including their so-called areas of expertise.

Another know-it-all has raised his head, criticizing my reference to a Nosferatu-influenced energy-sucking vampire on a Demeter-inspired episode of Buck Rogers in the 25th Century. The dumbass was adamant that I was mistaken about the matter (as referenced in my review of Robert Egger's Nosferatu: see December 2024 post) or in the very least exaggerating it.

The episode is, in fact, called "Space Vampire." It was written by Kathleen Barnes and David Wise and directed by Larry Stewart. Nicholas Hormann plays the titular antagonist, Vorvon. The episode premiered on January 3, 1980, about a year after Werner Herzog/Klaus Kinksi's Nosferatu remake and Tobe Hooper's Salem's Lot adaptation, the latter of which features Reggie Nadler in a Max Schreck-styled guise.

It wouldn't have been hard for my accuser to verify "Space Vampire," but you know how know-it-alls are. They rarely check facts (or fake the fact that they did) and know it all until proven otherwise. But mark my words, to the crafty know-it-all in question, somehow or other, the proof in the pudding still won't suffice.
