Raffaele Pezzella has announced that the next Eighth Tower Publishing, Dark Fiction curation will cater to William Gibson's Neuromancer and the vast, cyberpunk genre in general.
Gibson's imaginative works have influenced the dystopic, science-fiction field in varied ways, having inspired The Matrix franchise.
My cyberpunk submission, "With Eyes Unconstrained," focuses on a senior gentleman trapped a weird, wired world where privacy and dignity are sequestered among the violent acts of young, satyr-like mutants. Along the way, the senior rescues a young lady from the genetically altered beasts, only to face persecution for his intervention. This leaves him to reminisce on a time before the lines of virtue and devilry became blurred.
I'm honored to contribute to this ambitious anthology and will keep Bizarrechat's readers abreast of its progression.
