FAREWELL, JULIE BENNETT...
You were a welcome, guest-starring presence on "The Adventures of Superman"; "Gunsmoke"; "Highway Patrol"; "Dragnet"; "Adam 12"; "Get Smart"; "McHale's Navy"; "Leave it to Beaver"; "The Bob Hope Show"; "The Donna Reed Show"; and "The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show"; in addition to so many more.
However, it was your quaint voice that many embraced, which granted endearing expression to such productions as "Fractured Fairy Tales"; "The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show"; "The Famous Adventures of Mr. Magoo"; "Garfield and Friends"; "Dinky Dog"; "Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels"; "Spider-man '94" (as Aunt May); "The Superman/Aquaman Hour of Adventure" (as Lois Lane); "The Real Ghostbusters"; "The Bugs Bunny/Roadrunner Hour"; "The Bugs Bunny and Tweety Show"; "The Huckleberry Hound Show"; "The Magilla Gorilla Show"; and above all, "The Yogi Bear Show", where for three decades you embodied the parasol-twirling Southern belle, Cindy. (Also of special note, you loaned your terrific tone to Woody Allen's uproarious "What's Up, Tiger Lily?" and my all-time favorite Toho exploit, "King Kong Escapes".)
You brightened many lives with sugary cheer and gutsy guffaws, Ms. Bennett, ensuring enchantment not only for generations past, but surely for those yet to come.
