RIP PETER FONDA...

In the sector of science fiction, horror and the surreal, you gave us "Spirits of the Dead"; "Futureworld'; "Idaho Transfer" (as director); "Dance of the Dwarfs"; "Spasms"; "Escape from L.A."; "Journey to the Center of the Earth '08"; and "The Trip".

Among action and espionage, there was "Race with the Devil"; "Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry"; "Killer Force"; "Certain Fury"; "Wanda Nevada"; "Fighting Mad"; "The Hired Hand"; "Deadfall"; "Ocean's Twelve"; "Wooly Boys"; "South of Heaven, West of Hell"; "3:10 to Yuma '07"; "The Ballad of Lefty Brown"; "Enemy"; "The Limey"'; and "The Wild Angels".

However, it was as Captain America, aka Wyatt, in Dennis Hooper's "Easy Rider" where you gained your greatest parade of loyal fans.

May you ride on, Mr. Fonda, garbed in your red, white and blue, an eternal searcher leading his followers down only the best and most satisfying roads...
