Will Lill's latest has arrived--Fun Adventure Comics! #12, with exploits spanning three, thrilling locales!!!
The initial story comes via eclectic author, Michael Vance (with a gracious nod to Caleb Beaumont) and stars superhero/Schlock Theater host Dr. Fear, aka Alexander Blue, in a rugged, urban excursion called "Bad Day in the Bowery".
Artist Brian Cote gives Vance's tale an extra dimension of dark tension, as our eponymous hero tackles the thug-infested streets. Stay cool, for our brawny brawler intends to set things right, despite the fierce obstacles in his path. A real nail-biter, wherein there's always "more to fear than meets the eye"!!!
The second story springs from writer John Gilbert and depicts silent-film thespian, John Bradford, aka, Mister Chameleon, pitting his masked persona against some cut-throat baddies in "Stages".
Seppo Makinen's arousing artwork does the conflict justice, giving a reflective flow to the star's turn from let's-pretend idol to veritable Zorro-styled crusader. A unique and gripping yarn!!!
Writer Steve Skeates relays Issue #12's third tale which spotlights aquatic avenger, Depthon, Son of the Ocean in "Madness be Damned".
Per Ron Stewart's fluid artwork, our underwater savior investigates puzzling assaults on seafaring workers. Surely, the grenade-hoisting attacker can't be justified, and yet there's a peculiar cause to the preternatural madman's motives that only the daring Depthon can decipher. An epic of raw and virile vengeance!!!
Once more, publisher Warren Montgomery makes Will Lill's Fun Adventure Comics! a beacon among today's illustrated anthologies.
