Bizarrechats readers take note! Almark's electronic, avant-garde core, WEATNU (We Are The New Underground), lives and breathes and has been doing so since Summer 2014.
The online WEATNU magazine is reflective of Almark's queue of great, underground artists, who've supplied some of the best in experimental, Soundcloud compositions. We're talking the likes of grand, electronic and Goth mixtures, of NIN, Skinny Puppy, Throbbing Gristle, Severed Heads and Ministry. Without such exploratory groups (and their staggering ensembles), which dare to plunge "beyond the algorithm", the world wouldn't sound anywhere near as satisfying to those in the unwonted know.
It's an accepted fact that WEATNU manifested to butt allegorical heads with the noxious mainstream. That, in itself, makes the WEATNU movement an escapist essential, a Kerouac-ian, subterranean platform for forward-thinking creators and the ideal force for deflecting the maddening, skip-to-the-collective mundane in favor of unshackled creativity.
Almark is essential in this way, too, for he's The Sorcerer Supreme and grandmaster genius behind the avant-garde magic, a Paracelsus Pied Piper who attracts only the most audacious artists.
Please, if only for your own, intellectual empowerment, enter the WEATNU site to reap its vast, provocative gems. Almark offers an entrancing, euphoric overview on WEATNU's history, plus a hint of ambitions yet to come. But there's even more, as in a plethora of recordings, interviews and articles that have no choice but to expand and entrench all intrinsic horizons.
