Above is my friend and coworker, Nick "Bucky" Sabato, holding a crisp copy of Airship 27 Productions' The Purple Scar, Vol 4, which contains my story, "Golem Clay". I'm grateful for Nick's purchase and was honored to sign the story for him.
The Purple Scar is a pulp hero from the 1940s, aka Dr. Miles Murdock, a plastic surgeon who uses the grisly, death mask of his mob-murdered brother to strike fear into evil-doers during nocturnal patrols.
In addition to my story, this fourth volume in Airship's revival series contains tales by Felix Cruz, Gene Moyers and Fred Adams Jr, plus cover artwork by Adam Shaw, a back-cover design by Rob Davis and interiors by Chuck Bordell. From what I can discern, the anthology is selling well, and you can obtain yours at

Thank you for your patronage, folks! (And in the event that one's wondering, Nick's nickname is, indeed, derived from Captain America's courageous compatriot, Bucky Barnes.😉)
