SO LONG, ROBERT FORSTER...

You were greatly underrated and yet (to those who acknowledged your greatness) a giant among actors.

Your work proved expansive and diverse: "Alligator"; "Olympus Has Fallen"; "London Has Fallen"; "Supernova"; "Avalanche"; "The Delta Force"; "Medium Cool"; "Rear Window '98"; "Psycho '98"; "Uncle Sam"; "Satan's Princess"; "Maniac Cop III";  "Fire Wall"; "Mulholland Drive"; "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle"; "Like Mike"; "Hunt for the BTK Killer"; "Acts of Vengeance"; "The Lady in Red"; "Reflections of the Golden Eye"; "Journey Through Rosebud" "Jack and Jill vs the World"; "Grand Theft Parsons"; "Human Nature"; "The Bannen Way"; "Ghosts of Girlfriends Past"; "Thick as Thieves"; "Hotel Noir"; "The Descendants"; "Coffee, Kill Boss"; "Too Late"; "Middle Men"; "Jackie Brown"; "Twin Peaks: the Return"; "Last Man Standing" (w/ Tim Allen); and the hot-off-the-press "El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie".

For kids of the '70s/'80s, however, it was your role as Captain Dan Holland in Disney's epic space opera, "The Black Hole" that means the most. As such, you were cool and resourceful in light of the absorbing darkness: an inspiration to one and all.

May you now perform upon the ethereal stage, Mr. Forster, where you can once again show the best of the best how uplifting a quality performance can be.
