For many, you'll always be perennial mobster, Carlo Hesser (and his twin brother, Mortimer), on One Life to Live, and to fans of Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, you're always be the one-and-only, noble hero, Hawk.
You were also a respected regular on The Edge of Night (as the original Noel Douglas), Guiding Light (as Colonel Dax); Love of Life (as Earl Merrick); and Loving (as both Dante Partou and Joe Young); while securing roles in S.H.E.: Security Hazards Expert; Space Raiders; Wizards of the Lost Kingdom; Deathstalker III: The Warriors from Hell; Andy Colby's Awesome Adventure!; The Stranger (2000); Peril; Blood and Wine; Street Hunter; Betrayed by Innocence; Bridget; and Nola.
Then there are your cool, supplemental spots on T.J. Hooker; Cannon; Kojak; Bronk; Harry O; Hunter; The Rookies; The Renegades; The Eddie Capra Mysteries; Simon & Simon; McClain's Law; Law & Order: Criminal Intent; Murder, She Wrote; and Movin' On.
For me, though, it still swings back to Hawk, whose strong, Spock-like command became a template for my emotional view in high school. (Through your character, I learned not to be a cry baby, to tackle my problems with forthright focus and ceaseless determination, and for that, I owe you a galaxy's worth of gratitude.)
May you now find peace beyond the stars, Mr. Christopher, acting as a beacon for all who dare follow a courageous path.
