FAREWELL, DEE HARTFORD...

You were the beauty who in real life married Howard Hawks, then became Mr. Freeze's "vild", icy queen and a silver wonder named Verda who made our beloved B9 Robot jealous to the extreme.

In addition to starring in the chilly "Batman" set and in three "Lost in Space" installments, you charmed "The Twilight Zone"; "The Outer Limits"; "Time Tunnel" (as Helen of Troy); "Land of the Giants"; "The Alfred Hitchcock Hour"; "Burke's Law"; "Perry Mason"; and (with your Caped Crusader partner, Adam West) "Gunsmoke".

As a model, you gained pin-up status, but were an actress who held her own with the best, often deserving more respect than you received. To your fans, Ms. Hartford, you'll live on for an eternity: a thespian of legendary order, a statuesque sensation beyond mortal compare.
