MORE MR. JIGSAW'S EARLY YEARS: VOLS 3-5!!!

Three more entries in the Mr. Jigsaw (aka Charlie Grant) early-years collection are now available on Amazon, thanks to Redbud Studio, with more stories from creator/writer Ron Fortier and illustrator Gary Kato. (See January and early February posts for the scoops on #1-2.)

Vol 3 delivers the following escapades: "The Secret Life of Charlie Grant"; "Mr. Jigsaw's Secret Love Child"; "Death of a Hero"; "A Puzzle Called Charlie"; and the Gillette A. Elvgren tribute, "Pinup Magic".  (To accompany the latter are some super-swell, Elvgren images. Oh la! la!)

For Volume #4, we're treated to "The Missing Mother Affair"; "The Helping Hand"; "The Life of Pie"; "The Pirates of Perchance" and a hardy sampling of full-page, Jiggy pics.

Volume 5 caps off the set nicely with "Beach Balloons"; "Dog Dreams"; "Disaster in Aisle Five"; "Mile High Surprise"; and what's perhaps my very favorite Jiggy story ever: the tender "Little Lost Ghost".

Ron Fortier's storytelling is an absolute pleasure to absorb, capturing the best elements of old-time sitcoms, combined with Marvel/DC know-how. Kato's artwork furthers the pleasantry, bringing to mind the catchy and cute illustrations of Harvey and Gold Key Comics.

Mr. Jigsaw and his spectacular adventures are guaranteed to put a smile on anyone's face.
