R.I.P. WARREN HAMMACK...

You proved a pivotal part of such bold and lurid, Larry Buchanan productions as Zontar: The Thing From Venus, (Attack of) the Eye Creatures, High Yellow and Mars Needs Women. You also played Judas for the director in the edifying The Rebel Jesus.

Your lead in the Vietnam-veteran submission, Johnny Vic is most noteworthy, as are your roles in The Copper Scroll of Mary MagdaleneMonster Invaders from Space, The Hellcats, The Sidehackers and The Outlaw Riders.

Your television and short-film appearances are also significant, including stints for My Three Sons, Charlie & Poppy and The Virginian

For Kentuckians, you even bestowed the ongoing honor of performing as art director for The Horse Cave Theatre: a contribution that will continue to be remembered and cherished.

Alas, word of your passing came slowly, Mr. Hammack, and you deserved better than that. You (along with your work) had become part of our lives, our memories, and in our hearts, you'll remain as relevant, as important, as when you graced this earth.
